Have returned from trip and oddly my phone decided to post for me. I will have some detailed posts on two or three major aspects i noticed during the trips. The first includes reflections on the virtual and constructed nature of the cruise ship experience. The second will include some ideas about the intricate systems used to design the experience. A possible third will reflect on the technologies used to educate the 3000+ passengers aboard the ship. Some may come in multiple parts because there is so much to say. There is so much from Baudrillard and Habermas involved in the experiential construction that we can learn from about designing educational experiences from the humble and the grand among cruise ships.
